From overcoming fear to stepping boldly into leadership, Melissa’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. As the founder of Got Your Back Sista, Melissa has dedicated her life to empowering women and children who have experienced domestic violence, helping them reclaim their independence, confidence, and strength.
Her story began with a life-changing trip to Nepal and a breast cancer diagnosis that led her to take action, creating real change in the lives of women who need it most and founding Got Your Back Sista. She has since been recognised as Newcastle Woman of the Year, a Rotary Inspirational Woman of the Year, and the host of the Hey Soul Sista podcast—where she amplifies the voices of incredible women from around the world.
